FAQs
How long will it take to see results?
The process of hair regrowth will begin immediately, but it takes time to see the results at the surface. Most patients begin to see visible hair growth around 4-6 weeks, with full regeneration at 3-6 months.
Does it hurt?
The scalp is numbed with a topical anesthetic and local anesthetic block by our MD prior to injection or microneedling, so any discomfort is mild and minimal. The scalp may be slightly tender in the first 24 to 48 hours following treatment.
How long will the procedure take?
If local numbing is used, the entire procedure takes 15-20 minutes. Add an additional 20 minutes for topical numbing to take effect.
What is the downtime?
None. You may resume normal activities the same day, and wash hair as normal the same evening or following day. Due to saturation of the hair by the topical numbing cream and/or the treatment serum, many patients choose to wear a hat or loose headcover immediately following treatment.
I have spots, patches, or complete baldness, will this treatment work for me?
Hair regeneration on balding scalp can be very challenging. There are many underlying conditions that lead to hair loss, and if they remain untreated, the likelihood for future hair loss is much greater. There are many times we can achieve hair growth with these circumstances but it can never be guaranteed. The best option is to schedule a consultation where your scalp, symptoms, and history of hair loss can be evaluated to determine if this treatment will be helpful for you. In cases we do not think we can help, we will recommend follicle evaluation by a surgical specialist.
What if I do not see results?
We begin with a careful screening process and feel an honest evaluation with establishment of expectation is crucial to our high success rate. We want you to grow hair as much as you do, and will not recommend our program if you are not a candidate. We unfortunately are not able to guarantee your results, as there are many factors involved, but will always do the best we can to ensure your results exceed your expectations. We do not offer refunds for treatment rendered, as per industry standard.
Am I required to do all of the steps above?
While we do not require that you participate in all program options, we do see the best results when the treatment plan is completed as designed. Dr. Lori has curated an optimal, modernized hair restoration program based on years of experience and the best technology in the field of non-surgical hair restoration. When the office treatments are combined with at home daily treatment regimens, the results are truly incredible and worth the time and investement!
